Will I Lose Weight Running?
(Sorry for posting this question again, but I got no answers reffering to the question I’ve asked)
I’ve started running after a too long break, and after I’ve made about all possible mistakes as a runner. I’m following this beginners’ plan that I’ve found on runnersworld.com.
I’m also trying to lose a few pounds, I used to go to the gym, but when running four days a week I can’t seem to fit it into my schedule…
How many calories (approximately) am I burning?
I’d like to know so I’ll decide whether or not it’s enough or that I need to add more aerobics.
I’m 18 y.o, 5.1 inches tall and weight about 110 pounds.
Thanks in advance!

for sure running burns off the calories…slowly but it still works great! u can stick to that routine u have there or set out certain distances and increase them as you go along. when u run make sure u find a trail or a route around the neighborhood so that ur running is uninterrupted by turning around every 5 min. and going the other way. the first 2 weeks or so might make ur legs “burn” but after that ull be so used to it and can push ur self harder. remember to stretch beforehand too and bring a bottle of water with u. listening to music also makes the time pass really quickly. but at least 30 minutes a day of running will get u on the road to weight loss. good luck!
No, not with this little. walking is a lot better for the knees with the same positive effect of weight loss. Walk a mile every morning and stick to 3 meals a day with absolutely no eating after 9 oclock and you’ll be good
walking is much better for you,for a start you do less damage to your body.walk for at least 1 hour 5 days per week, you will loose about the same amount as running, how much,i don’t know.walk at a brisk pace, through in a few hills,as long as you can talk normally and don’t run out of breath this is the way to go.of course i don’t have to tell you,but watch what you eat.good luck
