How I Could Lose Weight?
I do not have sugar cravings, etc, eat hardly any crisps, fries burgers etc but I can not seem to lose weight. I walk 30-40 minutes 5 times a weeks, weights twice a week but I have lost nothing.
As I have never had a big appetite, I only used to eat when I was hungry and that meant for me no breakfast sometimes dinner etc. However on advice from a nutritionist i.e I was actually not eating enough to lose weight I started trying to have something for breakfast like a Banana, a handful of dried fruit with green tea, as well as lunch and dinner. I eat a lot of vegetables and am not a fan of potatoes and bread gives me indigestion so I avoid it. So I am really at loss..Help me PLEASE.
Why don’t you try a circadian diet, it is an excellent way to loose weight, it is working for me. I have a book as guide it is called “ni una dieta mas” but as you can see it is in Spanish. You could find information on the internet. This diet is excellent, explains how you body and hormones act during the day and help you eat accordingly depending on the hours, so you can burn the pounds away. I highly recommended.
Do you know what your muscle mass is? The reason I am asking is that muscle weighs more than fat. You seem to eat pretty healthily and perhaps the fact that you do weight training means that you are building muscle rather than burning fat. Stick with the walking, but perhaps instead of the weight training, start doing some more cardiovascular exercise like aerobics/treadmill/crosstrainer etc in order to burn off those calories.
Also, it is very important that you eat a breakfast in the morning in order to get your metabolism up and running effectively. Try also drinking more water, and see if this helps to flush out the toxins in your body. The reccommended amount of water is 8 8oz glasses per day.
first thing is to get out of the computer chair and start walking
well i personally think disco dancing is a lot of fun. honey don’t worry, go dancing and you’ll lose weight! c ya!
Calorie intake is only 1/2 of the equation. Now you have to increase your activity level so that you burn off more calories than you take in and to increase your metabolism. Get a bike and start riding for an hour each night.
Eat 5 small meals a day, 2 snacks, drink plenty of water and I mean plenty. If you weigh 200 lbs than 100 oz of water per day. Half your weight in ozs. of water.
Also, you MUST get sleep. Do not drink ANY caffee 5 hrs. before bedtime. NO SODAS, JUICES, even diet. They still have LOTS of sugar!!!
Start smoking and washing down diet pills with Red Bull… OK, that will work, but it will put you in an early grave. Try this:
-Eat less fat and sugar and drink more water (always order water and skip dessert).
-If possible, eat 5-6 smaller meals instead of 3 larger ones (this is difficult, but will raise your metabolism).
-Do 20+ minutes of cardio before breakfast most mornings (anything that will raise your heart rate will do).
-Work out with weights 3 times a week (if you can’t afford a gym membership, just buy some dumbbells).
-Get 6-8 hours of sleep every night (preferably 8).
-Start drinking more green tea and taking a multi-vitamin every day (recent scientific research suggests that green tea has potent fat-burning properties).
-Be consistent! Most people don’t have the time or self-control to really get in shape and lose weight. Good luck.
Of course, there is always liposuction…
You “seem” to be doing sensible things, but I couldn’t help noticing your title of “new wife”. So firstly, it goes without saying that when we human beings are very happy, as you must surely be, that there could be a tendency to become a little ‘chubby’. Contrast this with stress and you lose weight. Again you could remotely be pregnant and you certainly wouldn’t lose weight then.
Now it is important to recognise that all healthy human beings do have a “natural” weight and to interfere with could actually affect your long term health.
Is there a possibility that your husband has said something to you about your weight/shape that has focused you inwardly and started a worrying trend??
Your “walk” 5 times a week – is that walking to work? If so, try some additional alternative enjoyable exercise. And yes how about getting your husband involved in this. Exercise is not a punishment; it is something that must be enjoyed.
Another point is this; it is important to undertake exercise that makes you “puff”- that is when you can be sure you have reached a point when you can ease off, the more often you do the exercise so will the point where you puff take longer to reach. Finally, when you reach the puffing state you round off with a nice relaxing shower.
So, enjoy life, enjoy exercise and don’t become paranoid about a possible ‘nonsense’ .
Perhaps you’re not eating enough, skipping breakfast or dinner can have the opposite effect. Also, you might need to increase your metabolism, try eating 6 times a day but smaller portions.
I also would suggest some harder cardio training, perhaps a class at the gym like spinning or body combat which are very intense and burns a lot of calories.
Good luck!
I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.
It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.
Also start counting your calories. Write them down. You would be amazed as to how much more aware you are of your caloric intake, if you actually write it down. We recently discovered a site that offers a great program that counts calories, as well as keeps track of everything. It allows multiple users, so everyone in the family can keep track. They offer a free 7 day trial, and so far I am very impressed with the product. Try the 7 days and see. It allows you to add the exercise that you do during the day, which increases the amount of calories you can take in. Very Cool!!http://www.calorieking.com
A sight with some really cool diet calculators and interesting calorie counting calculators is here. Check it out.http://www.caloriesperhour.com/

Stay motivated, and get up and walk every day. I seriously lost all my weight starting off my day on my walk.
Good LUCK!
We are what we eat, but we are at least as much what we don’t do. Calorie intakes in 1900 and 1950 were higher than they are now, we just don’t use them up!
Eat a balanced diet with plenty of fruit and veg.
Take a healthy amount of exercise 30-40 minutes of vigorous exercise per day 4-5 days a week. I hate to think what percentage of the UK population does that 2%? 5%?
I have seen hundreds of questions with this same pattern :- I am fat, tell me where on line I can get this super diet or herbal/dangerous/illegal drug that I hear will fix it for me in 10 minutes without the need for me to get off the couch!
No fixes pal , less in more out, its the only way.
Exercise everyday like jogging around the block
Skip meals. Eat 2 times per day than 3 times per day
Dont eat until you’re full
Eat fruits at night if your hungry.
Drinks lots of water and stop all the fast food and chocolate.
I found this on this website. There are more tips and info.
