If I Cut My Food Intake Down To 1 Cup Of Food Per Meal With Two Small Snacks Per Day, Will I Lose Weight?

I am really wanting to lose weight, but first I need to ’shrink my stomach’. If I limit meals to a cup of food with plenty of water, will I lose weight? How long will it take to see results?

Shrink your stomach? Sure, while you’re at it, expand your lungs, and liver, decrease the size of your prostate and wrinkle your brain some more to give it more surface area.
Eating that little amount of food will certainly cause you to lose weight. Eating that little bit of food will make anybody lose weight. But it’s not a healthy way to do it and you’ll likely cause more damage to yourself and your overall weight loss by doing that. You’ll send your body into conservation mode and you will store fat as your body consumes it’s muscle tissue. Good luck with that.

You will lose weight, and then your body will adjust. You probably won’t get enough nutrients, you should just try to eat healthy meals and exercise. Then you’ll lose weight and keep it off. With such a strict diet, it will be hard to keep it going and you’ll probably just gain the weight back.

You’ll undercut your metabolism by doing this. Drinking a lot of water will stretch your stomach, not shrink it. But, it’s irrelevant anyways. Eat plenty of veggies and you’ll feel full without a wholel bunch of calories. Make sure you get plenty of fiber (20-30 grams per day), this will make you feel full and will slow your digestion. You can take Hoodia; it’s a good appetite supressant. Make sure you’re eating frequently, somewhere in the neighborhood of 300-400 calories every 3-4 hours. Drink plenty of water and get some exercise, including cardio and weight training. You’ll be surprised at the results you get. Best of luck!

You don’t need to eat less food, you need to eat less calories so that your body will adjust to being fueled by less.
You can eat only a cup of something, but if it’s not nutritious, you’re not helping yourself at all in the long or short run.

I found this on this website. There are more tips and info.
Weight loss is a tricky topic. Lots of people are unhappy with their present weight, but most aren’t sure how to change it – and many would be better off staying where they are. You may want to look like the models or actors in magazines and on TV, but those goals might not be healthy or realistic for you. Besides, no magical diet or pill will make you look like someone else.
So what should you do about weight control?
