Well first off–congrats on making the decision to go raw! Going raw is a difficult decision and and even more difficult journey that pays dividends in the end.
As for advice, going raw can result in some weight loss, but those aren’t he only positive benefits: as you stated, going raw can help your body to detoxify and to heal itself from any ailments or illnesses that may have been brought on by over acidification of your tissues, extra weight, water retention, and malnutrition.
Raw foods maintain all of their enzymes and vitamins, as they have not been cooked and destroyed by the heating process. Bear in mind that when you first go raw, you may experience some minor or moderate cleansing/detoxification symptoms, which may include intestinal discomfort, night sweats, hunger, headaches, nausea, etc.
Overtime, these symptoms fade as your body adjusts to the healing qualities of the food. After this initial detoxification, you may notice you’ve lost some weight.
It may be advisable to go 75% raw at first before going 100%–unless you have the emotional fortitude to go cold turkey 100% raw. For some people, however, this proves difficult, as many people find that eat raw in a cooked society is far more stressful and alienating than ever imagined.
Because of this, it’s important to maintain close contact with other individuals in the raw food vegan community. There are several web sites out there, such as http://www.rawpeople.com, where you can learn more about the raw food vegan diet and connect with others who can support you on your journey.
Be sure to get adequate rest, water, sunlight and exercise as well. Best of luck to you!

All that will do is upset your digestive system(which can cause diarrheah and vomiting, among other things, of course causing weight loss but also making you miserable)
If you want to lose weight and keep it off you need excersize. That doesn’t mean boring hours on a treadmill! Try playing DDR or riding a bike for a while each day! Good luck!

To help your health and to lose weight, you need to exercise. And nothing will make you feel better.
