Does Chewing Food Helps You Lose Weight?

Basically, it would be a liquid diet, since you’re chewing the food more often, making the food turn into a liquid. Does it work?

When you eat more calories than you burn you become fat. If your system become very toxic and you are not drinking enough water to dissolve and flush the toxins, your body forms fat for the purpose of toxin storage. It follows then that if you are consuming more water and less calories, (in what ever form you consume these calories – be it solid or liquid) you will not be increasing your fat storage.
It is noted that the longer you chew your food the less you tend to eat. That is because after a period of chewing, the brain tend to send a message indicating that you are filled, even though you might not have eaten as much as you’d have, if you were chewing and swallowing at a faster rate. If you eat less, then most logically you’d consume less calorie.
It follows then that chewing foods properly (or longer) would help weight loss to a small extent. In addition to chewing your foods longer, you would need to include in your diet, mostly raw vegetables. These are low in calories and very nutritious. That isn’t considered a liquid diet. The reasoning behind losing weight by chewing your food is because you are taking more time to eat (supposedly you eat less if you eat slower) and by chewing your food thoroughly, you aid your body’s digestion process because the food is broken down more.
You may also try this if you snack often throughout the day…. drink a full 8 oz glass of water before you eat anything. Often we think we are hungry when in fact our bodies are dehydrated. By drinking the water first, if you aren’t hungry after the water then you know you needed water not food.

If you chew your food well enough (like 32 times each piece) you can help your body work more efficiently because you’re taking your time, so you might not eat more….compared to if you chew a little bit then swallow the pieces not as chewed up….you will take less time eating and you may feel more hungry afterwards, so you might eat more.
Chewing your food isn’t like a liquid diet. A liquid diet is different. It’s pure liquid and it will not be as satisfying as chewing real food. When you chew, you make the pieces smaller, but they don’t turn into liquid. you make saliva to help them go down to your stomach.
If you want to lose weight, then don’t eat more than you use. So, if you don’t exercise or don’t move around much and just sit around and watch tv, you shouldn’t eat any candy, soda drinks, or processed food at all. Anything processed isn’t going to help you lose weight, but gain weight.
If you drink a lot of water, this can help you lose weight, because it makes you feel full…but never simply stop eating to drink water.
Any diet that goes against what is natural for a human being….chewing food, eating several times a day small portions….will be unhealthy.
Eat more natural foods and exercise and drink water.
Stay away from processed junk. Especially soda drinks, energy drinks, etc…. Even some of the tea out there is processed junk that is just full of sugar.

No it does not. Chewing is healthy and necessary but it is not going to help you loose weight. You are still consuming the same amount of calories within the food no matter how much you chew it. Not to mention chewing your food up for hours does not exactly look normal. Try just eating in moderation and not trying crazy diets.

    not for that reason.
but if you slow down eating by chewing more it might cut down on eating because the stomach sends a signal to the brain after about 20mins to let it know if it is full or not. people who don’t spend much time chewing will finish eating long before the signal gets sent to the brain and by then they could have overate.
eat slowly and enjoy every bite

To lose weight you have to burn more calories then you consume. So it does not matter how much you chew your food it is still going to contain the same amount of calories. Chewing it more will not make you lose weight.

no. even though you’re chewing more, you’re still consuming all of the calories. I could drink milkshakes all day, as long as they have plenty of calories,I’ll still gain weight.
