Does Drinking Ice Water Really Help To Burn Calories And Lose Weight?

I heard this as a dieting suggestion and wanted to know if it was true. Supposedly, ice-cold water is supposed to make the body warm up in order to consume it, and that burns calories in the process. True or not?

yes it is true, water has no calorie, and when it is cold your body must worm it so you will lost SOME calories, but I think it is not healthy, and can cause stomach problems, so be careful, there are many other healthy ways to decrease weight. PS: I am also on diet.

False. The theory you are referring to is called thermogenics. Basically that is where you turn your body in to a furnace and you need water to replenish what is lost. This is often assosicated with ephedera diet pills too. drinking water while dieting simply aides in feeling full and is good for cell conversion.
