Fasting For 10 Days And Only Drinking Green Tea.. What Do You Think Will Happen? How Much Weight Will Be Lose?

so i want to lose 15-20 lbs in 10 days.. i know its extreme.. but its for a very important event.. how much weight will i lose? should i just stick to the water fast ? september 28th is the day of the event.. i know its not healthy but im also doing it as a way to detox..

    That’s insane – your body needs food. If you don’t eat for 10 days and just drink green tea, you are going to put yourself in the hospital. Just cut out all carbs for that time. But add carbs back to your diet after the event – but only good carbs.

    you have to be very carefull when doing a fast. make sure you enter it and go off it properly or you could do serious damage fasting is not to be taken lightly and when used properly it can be very healing and beneficial

    you will only lose muscle that way. your body needs food or it feeds on your muscles. just eat very healthy and stay away from junk food and sugar

    You’re right that it’s not healthy, but you are underestimating how bad for your health it will be. Please don’t do this.
    If you do it anyway, please take vitamins and make sure friends check on you daily in case an emergency develops.

    I’m a runner and know about dieting. I wouldn’t do anything that extreme, you start losing muscle mass. Not to mention it messes with your body’s natural chemistry. You aren’t ment to lose weight that fast. Not eating will slow your metabolism down and make you gain weight once you start eating again. The green tea will help speed up your metabolism, some. You really shouldn’t fast too lose weight quickly.

    To lose weight, a person has to reduce the calorie intake by some amount by modifying their diet. A diet without sufficient nutrients will only increase the appetite of the person trying to lose weight. Since most people combine a diet with an exercise plan, additional nutrients are required for the growth of muscles required to increase the metabolic rate required for long term weight loss.     I wouldn’t do that… the last thing you need is to be fainting at your important event. I think the best thing to do is to cut your carbs to under 50 grams a day. It’s tough avoiding carbs.. try eating tuna or things high in protein like chicken breast. At the same time, exercise. I heard it’s best to exercise in the morning. Try running 2 miles in the morning before you consume ANYTHING.. don’t even brush your teeth yet. Most likely you won’t lose 15-20 lbs in 10 days but you’ll definitely lose some.. and you won’t be doing permanent damage to your body. Hope this helps.
