yes, creating a caloric deficit is only part of the equation. the overall quality of the foods in your diet and the ratios of macronutrient consumption has a greater effect on fat loss.
you need to eat a lot more than 500 cals a day to lose fat. the absolute bare minimum caloric intake is that which is equal to your basal metabolic rate or BMR. once you add in the caloric expenditure by the body from daily activities such as school, house/yard work, sports, exercise, etc. then the daily caloric intake needs to be more than the BMR just to facilitate weight/fat loss.

Yes, but not the way you’re thinking. Your body naturally burns off calories doing basic things each day, like breathing, digesting food and moving around. This is called your basal metabolic rate. You can increase the amount of calories your body burns when you’re not exercising by increasing your lean muscle mass because muscle burns more calories than fat, so if you have lots of lean muscle you’ll burn double the calories when you’re sitting around than if you have lots of excess body fat. The calories you burn during exercise help when you lose weight-it takes a deficit of 3500 calories to lose one pound of body fat, and most of this will occur by eating less and by increasing your basal metabolism. Cardiovascular exercise will burn calories when you’re working out, but won’t increase your basal metabolism as much as weight training.

    No you do not.
If you want to stay at a current wait and be healthy you can eat as many calories as you want but the calories can only be 15% fat
Example: every 100 calories should have at the “MOST” 15 fat calories
but if you eat pizza and such on a daily basis to maintain your weight you do have to excersize. but no you do not need to burn off every calorie, your body needs them. Calorie’s arn’t bad only calories from fat.
YOU CAN HAVE AS MANY CALORIES AS YOU WANT! :D
    walking 1 hour = 450 calories lost
    walking 2 hour = 900 calories lost
    ect
you dont need to lift weights or anything and walking is something most people do every day! :D
To lose weight you have to burn more calories then you eat.
But if you walk or excersize on a daily basis and eat healthy you’ll feel better and lose weight regularly.
    Hope This Helped! :D

yeah you do, but not always through excercise.
your body naturally burns off around 1500 just by living, depending on your height, weight and age and stuff like that.
like, for my body type, i burn off 800 just sleeping.
so if you eat around 1000 cals a day, or even up to 1500, then you can lose weight, though you should excercise as well.
    good luck :)

That’s the most basic way of looking at it. To lose one pound you need to burn or take in 3500 less calories. The less change in diet and exercise, the longer weight loss takes. However, it is recommended to lose no more than two pounds a week. Anything more jeopardizes lean body mass and your metabolism.

OF course. That’s the only weight to lose. weight. You have to burn off 3,500 more calories than you take in to lose 1 pound. That’s why it’s so hard to lose weight. IF you have a calorie deficit of 1,000 calories a day, then you’ll lose 2 lbs a week.

Yes, but you don’t always have to do something to burn it off. I have a naturally high metabolism because I am very fidgety
