How Many Calories Should I Eat In Order To Lose Weight According To My Bmr?

My bmr is 1420. I am trying to lose about 10 pounds for spring break. Does the bmr mean that thats how many calories I need to eat to maintain my weight? So should I eat less calories to lose weight? I am confused because I heard somewhere that a healthy diet has like 2000 calories!

try to eat the right amount of calories. also, eat foods with fiber and protein. they keep you fuller longer so you don’t get hungry. you do need to eat less calories to loose weight, but you also need to eat less fattening foods
